Refunds

No refunds will be made once travel has commenced; nor will any refund be available in respect of any tours, accommodation, vehicle hires, services or inclusions not utilised unless extenuating circumstances apply.  In such instances, final decisions will be made at the discretion of the suppliers whose services are involved.  Weather interruptions to itineraries are beyond our control and although we will do all possible to rearrange services in such an event, we cannot be held financially liable for interruption under such circumstances.  Pan Pacific Travel strongly recommends travel insurance cover for such eventualities.

Accommodation

The hotels included in the package itineraries have been selected for their locations, levels of service, cleanliness and quality of the rooms and public areas.  Where a property listed in this brochure is not available, Pan Pacific Travel will endeavour to confirm an alternative of a similar standard.  Please note this may result in additional charges where properties or rooms at specially negotiated rates are not available.  Surcharges may apply for special events.

All hotel accommodation is based on twin share rooms with private bathroom facilities and will generally include a TV, phone, wardrobe and tea and coffee making amenities.  Single rooms are available at the full single passenger rate and most hotels will also provide triple rooms with 3 single beds on request.

Baggage

We recommend one piece of luggage and one day pack/carry on item per person.  Additional charges may apply for coach travel.  Baggage space for self drive is limited and suggest passengers travel with soft bags.

Pan Pacific Travel takes no responsibility for visa documentation for entry into New Zealand.  We recommend checking with your travel agent regarding passport and visa requirements.

International Driving Licences and Permits

You can legally drive in New Zealand for up to 12 months if you have either a current drivers licence from your home country or an International Driving Permit (IDP).  After 12 months you are required to convert to a New Zealand licence. This applies to each visit to New Zealand. In New Zealand, all drivers, including visitors from other countries, must carry their licence or permit at all times when driving. You will only be able to drive the same types of vehicles you are licensed to drive in your home country. The common legal age to rent a car in New Zealand is 21 years. Make sure your driver’s licence is current. If your licence is not in English, you must bring an English translation with you or obtain an IDP. Contact your local automobile club for further details about obtaining a translation or an IDP.

In the event of a significant increase in transport suppliers’ costs due increased fuel costs, additional charges may apply.
